FAS Giving Back
We were able to help some less fortunate families
by sponsoring Christmas for them. We provided presents for two homeless families with small children that
would have gone without otherwise.
At FAS we try to go the extra mile in everything
we do and it was great to see the employees come together
and chip in to give the families a special Christmas that neither they or us will ever forget.
More recently, FAS Tallahassee sponsored a float
in the Crawfordville Valentines day parade. It was
great fun to get out and celebrate with our friends and neighbors!
Even a week after Hurricane Michael slammed into the Florida Panhandle, the complete scope of the storm’s fury has yet to be fully realized. Floridians continue to watch as the devastation unfolds. This record-breaking storm stole people’s homes, businesses, and most importantly, lives. To date, we know that Hurricane Michael has claimed at least 32 people across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia. It left, what feels like, an unsurmountable mountain of devastation and debris scattered across our communities.
The early estimate of damages brought by this storm is reaching a number as high as 40 million dollars. This includes the counties of Escambia, Santa Rosa, Walton, Holmes, Washington, Bay, Jackson, Calhoun, Gulf, Gadsden, Liberty, Franklin, Wakulla, and Leon. The local authorities in those counties have worked tirelessly for the citizens they serve. As soon as the storm passed, they quickly arranged shelter and makeshift housing for those in need, and for those who were willing to serve those in need. Their selfless dedication to their jobs and communities has truly been inspirational. FAS Parts & Service will always support those in service to help others and has been working with local authorities to contribute in any way we are able. Owner, Chris Williamson has steadily committed his time and resources from the start of this disaster.
FAS Parts & Service is happy and beyond grateful to announce that, with the generous help of Whitney Bowers and BAKER BROTHERS, we will be donating an ice machine to the Blountstown Police Department. We know that community leaders, first responders, law enforcement, and citizens have a tremendous amount of hard work in front of them. We don’t want something as basic as needing ice to be an added hardship during this process. Whether it’s medication that needs to be kept cool, food storage, or just a cool drink to replenish tired bodies, we feel blessed to be able ease even a small portion of the burden. Local businesses and community members coming together to aid their neighbors in times of need is just one small part of what makes our country so great. FAS Parts & Service will continue to stand with our home state and contribute to it’s recovery.
